University of Georgia | Vandiver Hall

Vandiver Hall – Working with DSi Construction and The University of Georgia, BCA provided A/E services for the recent renovation of Vandiver Hall, located in East Campus Village.  The renovation on this 6-story residence hall consisted of a major mechanical system upgrade to the facility and renovations to individual residential suites.

The challenge of the project was to complete all of the construction work during the summer. All of the design, permitting, construction preparations, bidding and materials/equipment procurement had to be completed and “ready to go” so that work could start almost simultaneously as students were packing up and moving out for the summer.

The entire team – DSi Construction, UGA Housing and Office of University Architects, JSA Consulting Engineers, Roberds Consulting, Lowndes Structural Engineering, and Brewster-Crocker Architects – worked diligently and the project was completed successfully – on time and on budget. Students are now moving back in for fall semester.
